Land Rover and Chevrolet are leasing a large swath of their U.S. manufacturing facilities to private companies.
The leases include space in the U.K., Germany and Japan.
Land Rover said in a statement the leases will provide flexibility for U.M. operations and support the company’s strategic partnerships.
It said the leases have a total value of more than $3 billion.
The company also owns a majority stake in Chrysler.
Land Rovers is the only major automaker that doesn’t have an active fleet of trucks.
